ABC Blocks ☆NEW☆
With this classic magic trick and our instructions, as usual in a perfect Future Magic execution, you will bring every hall to a boil. Suitable for an audience aged 3 and up! The original version goes back to the 19th century and included a very strong effect: a block vanishes and reappears in a different place. As a departure from this, we have developed a three-step routine for you in which the effect of the sucker dice vanishing and reappearing alternates with extremely strong vanishes, ensuring plenty of fun and interaction with the audience. The magician presents three brightly coloured blocks, labelled with the letters A-B-C, an empty tube (closed at the top!), a small pedestal and an empty top hat. This is not included, alternatively you can use an appropriately decorated box, etc. The blocks have an edge length of about 10 cm, so they are easy to see even on large stages. When the tube is placed on the pedestal, it is about 32 cm high! The block with the ‘A’ is placed in...

The block with the ‘A’ is placed in the cylinder, while the blocks ‘B’ and ‘C’ are placed on the pedestal and covered with the tube.
The ‘A’ die should now disappear from the hat and end up under the tube. After snapping his fingers, the magician claims that it worked, but without showing the hat or tube. Then the die with the ‘A’ should go back into the hat. Sure enough, the magician takes the die out of the cylinder. That was super easy.
Any experienced performer can imagine the outcry from children and adults alike. So the children are helping now. Cubes ‘C’ and ‘B’ are already on the pedestal, with ‘A’ on top. Needless to say, the preschoolers get to call out the letter for each cube, while the smaller children chatter along. The tower of blocks is covered with the tube: a magic trick of the children, the tube is pulled up and – not the top block ‘A’ has landed in the hat, but the middle block ‘B’, which was enclosed by ‘A’ and ‘C’.
Now the magician wants to try again alone: the column of dice is rebuilt. ‘C’ at the bottom, ‘B’ in the middle, ‘A’ at the top. The tower of dice is covered with the tube, and dice ‘A’ is supposed to end up in the hat. The tube is removed – and dice ‘A’ has indeed disappeared. The magician tips the hat out, but dice ‘A’ is not among them! Where is the die?
He lifts the tube to look for the die – and again does not find it. However, the children notice that the die is on the table. The magician tries awkwardly to smuggle the die into the hat. There is pandemonium in the room – the children have seen it!
So another try, with the help of the little audience: this time cube ‘B’ goes on the bottom of the tower, followed by block ‘A’, and on top of that cube ‘C’. The whole thing is covered with the tube. A magic spell, one cube has disappeared from the tower and can be found in the hat, ending a great effect sequence with lots of applause!
The advantage of our version:
- Large, brightly decorated dice, approx. 10 cm in size.
- Stable workmanship, safe function.
- A sophisticated routine that ensures your success. A modern, contemporary design that does without the usual rod on which the dice were threaded! This rod had the disadvantage that the spectators, especially the children, could tell exactly when a normal dice and when the gimmick was pushed onto the rod! This was then loudly communicated and the trick was actually spoiled by that. A big plus for travelling performers or artists in parks who play several shows in a row: at the end of our routine, everything is back to how it was at the beginning, so you can start again immediately without having to prepare it again!
